2026 Update, Sermon Links, and more

Hello my friends (if anyone reads this blog at all---there's no way for me to be certain),

It's been far too long since I've written anything. Other than the weekly updates I write for the college team of library workers I'm managing.  And about the most creative thing I get to do there is choose the clip art I want to use. Oh, and the fonts. Can't forget the fonts! LOL.

I have been working on a sermon on 1 Peter that I delivered yesterday. That's always good writing practice since the audience demands excellence (God, I mean. The church appreciates it, but I feel when I'm doing that like I'm really working for the Word more than the human hearers. )You can find that HERE if you'd like to listen. I started this update earlier in May, and have now delivered another sermon, this time on Ephesians 2. You can find that link HERE.

The job search continues. I enjoy Gordon College, but they can't give me more than part-time work. (20 hours a week). I enjoyed teaching The Great Conversation very much, and am planning to do that again next Fall. But it's only one semester (basically 1/3 of the year). 

Of course I notice that many authors are moving to Substack these days, but I'd hate to pour the work into that if nobody would respond. If you'd be interested in subscribing for a couple dollars a month if I started one, let me know, and I'll consider it. I would certainly LOVE to be able to support myself with writing, but I also need to be realistic about work.
